Cllr Ray Puddifoot, Leader of the Council addressing a packed meeting arranged by Eastcote Residents’ Association on November 9th, Ray Puddifoot said that despite the tough economic climate, the Conservative-controlled Hillingdon Council in the past year had delivered its promises and maintained the council tax freeze while opening new state-of-the-art leisure centres in Uxbridge and Hayes, plus two out of the three planned new youth centres. It is continuing its programme to rebuild or refurbish all the public libraries in the Borough, and had invested millions in repairing and refurbishing our roads and invested strongly in our parks and green spaces.
